How Does A Generator Radiator Work?

What is a diesel generator's radiator? What is its purpose?
A diesel generator's radiator is the component that transmits heat from the engine coolant to the surrounding air. When it works properly, this technique prevents the engine from overheating.

How does an engine radiator work?
The radiator is made up of fins and pipes. The engine coolant pump circulates the coolant through the pipes. This coolant is heated since it came from the engine, and the heat transfers to the fins when it goes through the radiator pipes.

The radiator will have a fan that rotates, either by electric motors or by a set of pulleys and belts connected to the engine crank shaft. This fan circulates cool air through the radiator fins. The heat from the fins is transmitted to the cool air, which heats it up and transfers the heat away from the engine. The coolant that was not cooled by this airflow returns to the engine, and the cycle begins again.
